It covers an area of 630,000 square meters, and has 2466 staff including 657 technical personnel of all kinds.
QJGT has strong developing capability with its own R&D center, 1st class measuring center and 1st class physical & chemical laboratory. As well, QJGT has advanced equipment and inspecting instruments imported from advanced countries, for example, Gleason Machines, MM3525 Gear Inspecting Center and Multi-Use Double-Row Furnace from U.S.A., Ipsen furnace and OPTON 3D Measuring instrument from Germany, Aichelin Furnace from Austria, Horizontal machining center from Japan and Korea, and CNC Grinding Machines from Italy, etc.
QJGT is ISO/TS16949: 2000 certified in 2006.
In 2003, QJGT was listed in top 100 best suppliers of automotive spare parts, top 500 mechanical industries in China, and top 50 enterprises of Chongqing in 2004.
The leading products are as follows: ZFS6-90, 5S-111GP heavy-duty truck transmission series licensed by ZF company of Germany, leading heavy-duty truck transmission S (QJ) series with speed of 5, 6, 8, 9, 10 or 16, and with torque of 700-2300Nm, front, rear and lateral-mounting PTOs, transfer cases, and helical bevel gears developed by QJGT itself.
So far QJGT has formed capacity of annual output of 60,000-unit heavy-duty automotive transmissions, 150,000-set helical bevel gears of different types, 20,000-ton forgings.
The products are applicable to large & medium-size luxurious buses with length of 7-12 meters, trucks with total weight of 10-50 tons, and various types of special vehicles.
QJGT's market covers all the luxurious bus manufacturers, main heavy-duty truck manufacturers domestic in China, and it is exporting products to the United States and EU member countries as well as developing areas such as south Asia, the Middle East Asia and Africa.
